The facilities at Animal Resorts and Training Center in Frankfort, Kentucky are new and improved to deal with many different types of boarding issues. We have general boarding for dogs as well as cats. Boarding suites are available for dogs in different size rooms making it easy to board pets together, saving money on multiple pet boarding. Take the time to view the video tour of our facility. We do offer pick up and delivery services. With our online reservations, you are able to schedule early for Holidays and vacations.
Many customers living in surrounding towns that work in Frankfort, will schedule their dog training on work days and use our day care the same day. This allows our customers to drop off their dog before work, meet for training after work without extra trips to Frankfort. This same method is used by customers living in Lexington, planning vacations with airlines that travel to Louisville for their flight. They will drop off their pets on the way to Louisville for boarding and continue on to the Louisville airport. Animal Resorts is just minutes off interstate 64, between Lexington and Louisville.
Check in Hours:
Guest(s) can be checked in any time during business hours. You will be charged a boarding rate the day you check in, regardless of what time you check in.
Check out Hours:
There is no charge for animals picked up before 1PM Monday-Saturday. HOWEVER, ALL ANIMALS PICKED UP AFTER 1PM, ON SUNDAYS OR HOLIDAYS WILL BE CHARGED FOR THAT DAY.
Out of Hours pick up:
If you need to pickup your pet outside of our normal business hours, a $25.00 fee will be assessed at your current boarding bill. No exceptions and you must call ahead to arrange an out of hours pick up with the house staff.
Kennel Rates:
Standard Boarding $15.00 per day.
Premium Boarding $20.00 per day
Luxury Suites $25.00 per day
(Older dogs and dogs with certain medications may require the suites)
Cat Boarding $15.00 per day.
Daycare (Day Boarding) $15.00 per day.
(Daycare passes, for day boarding customers can be purchased 10 days for $100 if paid in advance and 20 days for $160.)
Monthly standard boarding rate can be purchased for long term boarders of one month and up. By paying in advance you will receive a 20% discount over our daily rate. Payment is due each month prior to the billing date.
For example boarding in the main kennel for one month at $15/day is $450. If you purchase that block of time and pay in advance you will only pay $360. Reserving a suite for one month cost $750, but with your discount for paying in advance you will only pay $600.

At ARTC Doggie Daycare, your dog gets to chase and grab, play tug-o-war and bark all he wants with his canine buddies. We have toys and challenging obstacles to keep your dog entertained in a constructive NOT destructive way. All activities are supervised by our pet care professionals, just in case someone wants to be a meanie!
Animal Resorts has both indoor & outdoor play areas for both small and large dogs. Dogs are encouraged to come in and rest with us in our office during the day. They seem to enjoy being part of the business and greeting customers as they come and go. As professional trainers we are equipped to deal with difficult dogs and with time and patience even the most timid or pushy dog learns to get along with his fellow canine companions.

Healthy Pet Care Plan
Our Healthy Pet Warranty Program
At Animal Resorts & Training Center, your pet's health and well being is our first priority. We do everything possible to maintain a clean, healthful environment for all of our guests. But we recognize that putting pets together in a shared environment is a bit like putting kids together at a daycare or school. Germs happen.
That's why we created the Healthy Pet Plan warranty program. If your pet is 7 years old or younger, he is covered by the plan and will be charged a nominal fee associated with his lodging, grooming, or day care. The plan's fees are $1.00 per pet per day. The plan's maximum coverage is $350.00 per pet per incident. A warranty program like ours is just one of the ways Animal Resorts and Training Center goes the extra mile for our customers, in offering you peace of mind with your pet's care.
The plan covers contagious illnesses that your pet may contract during his or her stay at the Resort. And because we recognize that some illnesses have an incubation period, the plan's coverage is active for up to 10 days after your pet leaves the Resort.
In the rare instance that your pet is injured at the Resort, the Healthy Pet Plan may also provide coverage. The plan will not cover injuries that are a result of fighting or rough play between pets that are lodging together at your request.
To make a Healthy Pet Plan claim, you must:
1. Have taken your pet to the veterinarian for care within 10 days of your pet's departure from the Resort.
2. Contact the Resort's administrator within 15 days of your pet's check out from the facility.
3. Provide the administrator with a written diagnosis from your veterinarian regarding your pet's illness or injury.
Provide the administrator with a copy of the veterinarian's bill showing a breakdown of all charges, and that the bill has been paid. The plan reimburses you directly; it does not pay your veterinarian.
The Resort administrator you speak with will file your claim with the Healthy Pet Plan administrator. Each claim is reviewed individually. You can generally expect to hear back from the Plan administrator within 10 working days from the date the claim is filed.
